how much does a teams stadium go into that decision making process. If it was between LSU and ULL for a host would Alex Box push it over the line for LSU if they were both even or even ULL more impressive?

If you figure UVa, FSU, Scar, ULL, pac 12 champ, Cal Poly are national seeds.

I said it. You can bookmark it if you want.

Not much, I don't think, considering 3,000+ is considered a great crowd pretty much everywhere except in the SEC.
ESPN has a lot of pull now that they have rights to every regional and ULL doesn't have the baseball facilities to support a premier broadcast.

No, I agree with you.
TN_Tigers contradicted himself.

Hardly anything. But LSU fans still incorrectly live by Alex Box should let LSU host as a 2 seed.

Yea my bad
You can move them out of the lock and put them in the other group though. They could get swept by Fullerton but I dont see it at home.

I know this will never happen but LSU is almost always in the consideration for a regional host. So that discussion rarely comes up.

It's about ESPN not wanting to broadcast from ULL's shitty facility.

so pretty much ULL needs to sweep midweek games, and almost sweep all but one or two of the upcoming series, one series loss could kill their top 8 chances.

I would not be surprised if ULL is hosting at Zephyr.

why would they go that far to host a regional? I could see Tulane if they were good enough to host a regional but ULL travel 3 hours for a home game?

What?
ULL's shitty field will play no impact as to whether or not they get a national seed or not.

ok my bad I didn't mean to imply that, but from what others have said ULL needs to dominate if they want a chance at a top 8 seed. What would dominating look like for them? They play no-one so any loss hurts them.

2 years ago, Purdue hosted a regional in Gary, Indiana which is roughly 2 hours away from its campus.

No. They just won't get to host.
This is ULL's year. ESPN is finally televising all of the postseason. They need to throw some money at their ballpark while the team is hot so they can get the exposure for their program. It's ULL and they're dumb so they won't though. They'd rather throw money at football because they're on their way to a BCS bowl with Hudspeth.

ok maybe it happens, but I think people would want the regional at home.

so in your view what does ULL need to do to, Host? get a Top 8 seed?

If they bring in a portable press box up to ESPN's standards, I'd agree.
