I heard from a birdie that ULL might not get to host because they have shitty lighting for their field and it's really bad for TV or something.

I've heard this as well, but because their pressbox can't fit ESPN's equipment.

Their RPI will only go down. They better run though their schedule and continue to dominate so the committee doesn't have a choice. Being in the south doesn't favor them if they are a bubble top 8 especially if LSU makes a run and wins the SEC or something.

As for our RPI, we will get a bump in 2 weeks when we play Ole Miss.

All things considered, our SoS of 69 isn't that bad.

Should be interesting how it plays out, ULL seems like a good team but they are like a Wichita State in basketball sure they are winning most of their games but they are also playing no-one.

ULL only has 4 games against good teams. LSU which only went 5 innings, and Alabama 2-1 every other team is middle of the road to crappy. They may be one of those teams who get a top 8 seed but lose their regional to some hot 2 or 3 seed.

If you figure UVa, FSU, Scar, ULL, pac 12 champ, Cal Poly are national seeds.

That leaves 2 spots for SEC west champ, SEC east 2nd, Texas, Clemson, AAC champ.

I'd lean towards Texas and SEC west champ as of now.

Leaps and bounds ahead of where ULL's stadium is. Yes, I'm serious.

I would say that the SEC regular season champs and maybe one other get's a top 8 seed. If a top 3 SEC team wins the Tourney that very well may propel them into a top 8 seed.

Top 4 will host regionals

as for ULL as good as their record may look by the end of the season their SoS will probably be the lowest among top 15 RPI Teams, so if they are not top 4 or 5 in the RPI they may get passed on a team who has a much higher SoS but not as of an RPI.

With Fullerton and UCLA being down this year it could definetly happen. It depends on how they do against Pepperdine, LBSU and Fullerton. They like to give the west 2 national seeds even if they dont deserve it.

See Oregon last year and San Diego was a national seed one year. Cal Poly this year is better than both those teams.

I see Cal Poly as stronger than the Pac 12 2nd team and Louisville and Houston right now. They arent a lock but closer to getting one than not.
