Seafood on the Geaux - Katy, TX
Posted by Kingwood Tiger on 4/6/14 at 3:01 pm00
So far it seems legit! Wife and I went through the drive thru for lunch today. The girl that took our order was really nice. We both got the shrimp poboy. Tons of shrimp on them, and I'm not sure where they get the bread but it was really good. Only thing I didn't care for were the fries, just seemed like your old bag of sysco fries, would be better if they made their own or just offered a bag of Zapps. There was a guy there with an LSU shirt on getting a ton of crawfish. They said they have only been open 3 months.
So if you are looking for a good poboy/cajun food on the west side of Houston, check them out.

Looks good.....had an abomination of a Shrimp Poboy last night at a joint here in Dallas. Had pickled Onions and a vinaigrette on the lettuce. No tomato or pickles.

Just found out about this place a few days ago, will be checking it out soon. A buddy of mine got crawfish and said its legit but I want to try it for myself. Good crawfish in Houston is hard to find and the few places I know of are a good drive.

Just asked a couple of my friends out there if they have ever been.
When we lived out there (moved back a couple of years ago) we would sometimes go to Orleans Seafood Kitchen on Westgreen and the Katy Freeway. I thought it was one of the better places out there, although their red beans were terrible (the manager admitted to me they did not soak their beans, WTF).
We actually watched the NFC championship game vs the Vikings there. It was packed, and when Hartley hit the FG, I thought the screaming was going to blow the windows out. It was nuts.

Agreed ate there last weekend, wife had the crawfish and I had the shrimp poboy. I thought for 7.99 the poboy was a solid choice.
And as others have said the crawfish is about the best I have had/seen at restaurant in the houston area.
They are staying busy and will only get busier I saw they had a help wanted sign outfront as well.
