You can make hummus with most beans. I've done lentils and white beans before. Everything else is the same.

I've tried several beans, the best alternate bean I've used are black-eyes peas. Red and black beans are too "creamy" and the resulting hummus is a little gluey for my taste. But you may like it, enjoy. Pinto beans work well also.

I think mine is gonna be alright. Waiting on a red pepper to blister itself then I'm going to whirl it all up.
