I was starting to wonder what the season would be like without one. Can't wait to read the 100 threads a day with people bitching about whoever is starting and why the backup should be playing.

Well this isn't a Jefferson situation. Miles isn't attached to Jennings like he was with Jefferson. Cam won't let him. I honestly think they will play who they feel is better.

I didn't factor in Cam. His word holds water around there unlike the last

Which they have always done.
I know that doesn't suit your mindless little narrative, but it's the truth.

I'm not sure how much of a controversy it will be. BH looks very good. AJ looks not so good.

Mindless narrative?

The offense was clicking with Lee in 11, Jefferson gets reinstated and our passing game goes to crap. Sorry, but that's the truth.

Yep that's true.
Lee was so effective and poised in the pocket against a strong pass rush.
And Lee was in Miles' doghouse.
And Miles is related to Jefferson.
And Jefferson has great bar-be-cue.

And whatever other inane reason you numbnutz pull out of the air to defend your position.

The coaching staff plays the guys THEY believe have the best chance of chalking up a victory.
Dat's da truf.

LSU will go down in history as the only team not to score a single point in the BCS game.

What the coach believed was stupid. And it showed. Now Miles gets to live with his stupidity for the rest of history

Truth

We just have to hope Cam prevents a debacle like that from ever happening again.

Oh the coach in the CHAMPIONSHIP game? The one who won every game up to that point, blowing out most teams along the way? The one who is on pace to become the winningest coach in school history?

Yeah, he'll go down in history because of his "stupidity". Not because of his approaching HOF credentials...

That's just not true. LSU had more 200 yard passing games after Jefferson was reinstated than before. More importantly, the offense had its three best games of the entire 2011 season in the three regular season games that Jefferson started.

Lee was terrible against Alabama. Just terrible. Lee had three of four games with a QB Rating below 70. His average was 68. His 2011 game was a 14. His career completion percentage against Bama was 41%. 12% of his pass attempts against Bama were interceptions. Jefferson had only one game with a QB Rating below 115. His career completion percentage against Bama was about 65%, including the BCS game. In the BCS game, Bama's D used a mush rush, a slowed down rush, against LSU because Jefferson was a threat to run. Bama would not have slowed down their rush against Lee. Miles and Studrawa were absolutely right to save Lee from that defense. He would have been annihilated.

Finally, this thread is getting a little closer to the truth. Cam will prevent a debacle like the BCS game because the QBs will get some coaching, and it will be good coaching. Miles didn't play favorites with Lee and Jefferson. Miles played the QB who gave LSU the best chance to win. Studrawa said the same thing. Unlike Crowton, Cam will help the QBs reach their potential. Lee and Jefferson were handicapped during their time at LSU under Crowton. He didn't coach either one of them. Neither Lee nor Jefferson were coached to their potential.
