plus the correct size pipe to fit your rod holder.

use a soldering iron to melt a small linear hole in the board to hold the knife.

about $10 total. and 20 min of work.

I had one custom make at a welding shop for $100. It was sweet. Just like the ones you buy, but way bigger. It fit into two rod holders and two people could cut bait or clean a 48" fish easy on it. I had added a piece of 3/8" plywood bolted down. That way it doesn't dull your knifes as fast and once that got cut up, just change the board.

Gave it away to the guy that bought my CC offshore boat.

All I ask for is one that locks in place once you get it level. I hate cutting bait on a see-saw.

That is why I had one made. Besides those small ones sucked. Nobody likes cutting chum.

That's a pretty good idea there. What was it, just a piece of flat aluminum with 3 sides and a couple pieces of tube off the bottom for a rod holder?

If someone did this and really wanted to get fancy, you could just get a big piece or 2 of white HDPE and bolt that down to it instead of plywood. No replacing.

it would need replacing eventually

perhaps you could do 2 layers

a .5 inch base layer and a .25 inch layer that you could replace every few years depending on use

I mean if you're gonna replace the layer anyway might as well just get thin stuff cause it's cheaper and replace it when it gets worn.

The size fishfighter was talking about you could get 4 pieces of 12"x24" .25 for $45ish and you have a 48" cutting board that should last you a good while. Countersink bolts so it's all smooth surface. Money.

That and a couple slots for knifes to stab in. I was going to use some HDPE, but had the plywood already at the time.

They are easy to make, just cut some marine polyurethane to your specs and buy a rod holder/adjustable gimbal

All of ours are homemade

Or buy this LINK
