In all seriousness, they're a shell of the program they were when I was a kid.
For having a good record and legendary coach, they've never recruited their fertile backyard well, at least as it pertains to elite prospects.
Speaking of #tDecline, Colorado has been in a slump for the better part of 15 years outside of 2000-2002.

Yeah just think if Tech had won that game they might have gone on to win their division in 2007, 2008, 2010, and 2011 and win the ACCCG in 2007, 2008, and 2010. Instead they lost to LSU and then fell off the map of college football. Oh wait.

I dont think Virginia Tech's middle of nowhere location really qualifies it as a school with fertile recruiting grounds.
