Just had a segment on ESPN. They said its arguably, once again, the most important Pro Day this year. We have 11 guys that could be draft picks, 10 for sure. Mett, Hill, Copeland, Turner, Jarvis, OBJ, Boone, Freak, Ego, Barrow, and Loston.

Someone recently spoke with Mett and he said he feels great and will be competing. He worked out with a QB coach and that coach said you cant even tell he had surgery 4 months ago. Looks great and feels great and will be participating in the Pro Day.

Also said that we have 7 guys that will go before the 4th round in Mett, Hill, Jarvis, OBJ, Turner, Freak, and Ego. With Loston and Barrow being 4th-5th round guys as well.

Big day for these guys on Wednesday.

I don't think your 10 are guaranteed a draft pick. But yeah, it's a huge day for them and they should prove their worth. They all have very high upsides and all have great work ethic. Good luck to them.

Miles keeps churning them out. I don't see 10 going however.

They said 11 draft picks, most likely 10 taken though.

Besides Boone, who from that list wont be drafted?

Mett - Yes
Hill - Yes
Copeland - Yes
OBJ - Yes
Jarvis - Yes
Turner - Yes
Freak - Yes
Ego - Yes
Barrow - Yes
Loston - Yes

Copeland is debatable. While I do feel he deserves to be drafted, not many fullbacks do. If he isn't, he should be a priority UDFA.

It would not surprise me one bit to see Boone drafted. I would bet that both Boone and Wright end up on NFL rosters.

During that NFLPA bowl, coaches fell in love him with. Attitude, personality, and skill set. I mean hes a 6th / 7th round pick of course. But he gets a good bit of attention from the media though. And can be a special teams all star.

Its def debatable, for sure. But I think he has a better chance of getting drafted than being an UDFA.

Yeah Im with you Lester.

For the past few years, every offseason and preseason, a lot of people would love to talk about how Boone or Wright are about to break out / become 1 of our top WRs.

It never happened. They were given every opportunity to lock down a starting spot for multiple seasons, never did, and were consistently passed up by younger WRs on the team.

Were they good teammates and gave their very best? Sure, I think so. But the NFL wont keep a guy on the roster because hes a nice teammate. Gotta be able to contribute.

But, I do think that Wright has a better chance to make a roster than Boone does. Strictly because of special teams. He was great on special teams this past season and really embraced that role. Thats it though.

I wouldnt bet anything that they both end up on rosters. Could they? Sure, who knows.

James Wright will not be on an NFL roster. Boone will be lucky to make it past the first round of cuts in training camp. This isn't a knock on either guy. I hope they make the most out of an opportunity, if given one.

The gm that takes freak before the 4th needs to hire new scouts.

Everybody is focused too much on the WR thing, Wright has impressed alot on special teams. Boone impressed at post season events. I did not say they would be the #1 WR on a board, my specific words were that it would not surprise me that they both end up on NFL rosters, perhaps special teams gets them there, and hopefully their roles can expand.
