I read a similar fact about baby names but it was Rhaegar- and it was a year or two before the series aired.

My sister named her baby girl this! I absolutely love it.
Believe it or not she doesn't watch the show. Had no idea the show had the name in it.
She also spells it's Aria instead of Arya. Tried to convince her to go with the "y" but no dice

They're about 10 feet tall. Not as tall as most mythical giants. Their steeds are Mammoths.

If I have a daughter I think Arya would be a really cool name. If not/if I change my mind by then, I'll definitely name either my cat or dog after her or name the cat/dog Nymeria.
