Shell Houston Open...

I'm hoping to head to the tournament....weather permitting of course today. I've never been to the Shell. Just wanted some insight on the course and maybe where I can setup to check out some good golf. I just tore my acl 2 weeks ago so still on crutches, was looking for a spot I can hop a long to so I can catch as much action in one area. TIA

There is a nice area by 16 green where you can see a couple different holes from. The course is pretty spread out so being on crutches might suck. I'm about to head out there in the next hour or so. Will be in the skybox on 18

I don't recall the hole # but when I was growing up I would go with my dad and we would watch the one with an island green. Spend time walking with that hole and time sitting in bleachers by the green. With crutches this might be ideal for you

I don't know how old you are, but it's only been played at Redstone since 02 or 03 I believe

Ya the island green is at Woodlands CC. Played there last fall.

I played out there last Friday. I think a champions tour event is about to be played there, they were setting up grandstands. It's in great condition.

Yea I liked it. Was a challenging but fair track. Too short for the PGA guys, though.

I'll have my Purple LSU on as well gonna head there a little after noon.
So it's spread out so I will need to have crown in mass for this. How's the parking? It's gonna be a long sore day, gonna try to catch the Yank v Stros after!

Went last year for the first time and what everyone else is saying about it being spread out is very true.
