I promise you this was the first time I saw my father shed a tear. Everyone else was watching the T.V, I was watching him the whole time. I still remember that about my dad and was glad he got to see it before he passed. The best part about it was as soon as the game ended he said lets go down to the boats and celebrate. HAHAHAH
Miss you dad.

I had that nervous feeling like I use to get in Public Speaking when talking to the class during college when the Vikings were driving on us late in the NFC Championship.

so many tough breaks over the years... it was hard not to think something bad was going to happen.

But then I remembered the Vikings had a lot of shite luck in the playoffs too.

a few minutes later... Tracy Porter picks it off

I can remember every play like it was yesterday. Best day of my life ever so glad that I was at that game. That game was better than the actual Super Bowl to me.

I was still living at home. My mom watched the game with me and started with her "typical frickin Saints. They lose this one." crap. My exact words after that were "Well go do something else but you're not allowed to come back in here and watch this when they start winning."

Low and behold. Look who was a born again Mega Saints fan at the end of the 4th.

A couple of nights ago I was in Disney in line with a saints hat on. Some guy said "New Orleans huh?" I said yeah.
He said "last time I was their, it wasn't that great of an experience for the 09 NFC championship game, I'm from Minnesota"

I laughed in his face and said I bet it wasn't.

IDGAF what Shockey did for the rest of his career or for the rest of his life. He will forever be one of my favorite Saints because of that game.

We don't win it without him.

I was at the Saints first playoff game in the dome against the Vikings. When we went up 7-0 the dome went nuts! Ended up being a painful loss. This game was some well deserved redemption....and yes it will happen again!!
