Of course Home Depot/Lowes didn't have it, Ed Price doesn't even carry it. Any of y'all know where I could find some within a reasonable driving radius of BR?

there is a lumber yard on perkins inbetween pecue and highland. the name escapes me right now, but it used to be on airline close to the ITI trade school

Ace in plaquemine should be able toborder it or have it on hand. They have a full lumberyard.

Good luck, I've scoured every place imaginable in BR looking for the same thing over the last month. I think your looking at having to fork over a pretty penny at a carpentry shop with cypress or oak. I wasnt willing to do that.

Think that is Martin lumber you are thinking of.
Best bet is to call around to the local lumber yards in general.

I always go to State Lumber on Highland north of LSU to get wood.

If you really need them go to a rural saw mill. Yes seriously. I know there use to be one in Liberty Ms and they'll cut it for you. Of course there's a price.

when do you need them by?
i have about 90 acres of pine trees that will need a thinning next year. i think i could let you have a few

What are you using it for?

I need them by monday or tuesday
Driving a couple hours would not be out of the question. Price is not a factor, all I need is about 60 ft. We're making finger joints.

Actually, you can get these at the Lowes on Millerville. They are the only box store in town that carries them. When you walk into the store, the lumber yard is on the left hand side. These 4" x 4"s are in the first row (off of the left wall) in the middle of the store.
Good luck finding straight ones though. I have to dig through 20 or so to find 2 halfway decent ones.

Just called Kellett lumber in metairie, they have a metric shite ton of it in 8'-16' lengths. Another place I just found that will sell untreated is Great Southern Lumber which is a treatment mill in mansura.

Try Holmes - they carry hard to get lumber.
Posted on 4/2/14 at 12:11 pm to Neako27blitzz
Thanks man. They give you a price on those?

Nah but Ed price quoted me for $55 for 60 ft before she realized that it was treated wood instead of untreated. I'd assume it'd be a little less than that for untreated.

There's a warehouse off of S. College in Lafayette that had all kinds of wood/moldings, but I can't for the life of me remember the name
