Guess it was tired of waiting for K to retire. Risky move though, if he sucks, he'll never get his Duke shot.

I agree, they lose a lot and have a interim AD. unstable situation for sure.

He paid his dues and now it's time to make that leap. No a bad program to start at.

Solid hire. I'd definitely prefer him over Martin if I was a Marquette fan. And I thought it was always assumed Johnny Dawkins would come back and take over for K when it was time.

I believe he knew he wasn't getting it and "removed his name from consideration".

Good move. I doubt Duke would have promoted him to head coach without having at least some head coaching experience.

I could be considered a Duke hater, but there was a two year stretch in my younger years that I rooted for them. Wojo was the reason. I wish him the best of luck at Marquette.

I figured it would be between Dawkins and Amaker, since ol NIT Tommy has started getting to (and winning in) the NCAAs.

Good for him and Marquette. K's had a quite a few guys now coaching(Amaker at Harvard, Dawkins at Stanford, Chris Collins just got started at NW)
