Stopped reading there

You have got to be kidding me right? I know Stevenson had a hit streak not that long ago but be for real, which one of those 3 would you actually say you would want at the plate with runners in scoring position with 2 outs? Seriously? Slap hitters who beat out slow grounders?

Laird has been one of the few bright spots during this stretch. Stevenson is still making decent contact, but they're outs. KRob was one of the few that was actually scoring runners, even if they were outs. That's better than infield popups...

You called them consistent easy outs, do you know what "consistent" and "easy" mean?

if it's not true than what ever.

but one thing is true. No matter how it compares to football LSU baseball is very popular in South Louisiana, people don't just blow it off like they do basketball year after year when we suck. I think it would be reasonable to say that LSU's baseball fans are the best fan base in college baseball. Don't look to the rant for your judgement. If there is a better fan base it would only be in the SEC.

Without question...it's like Kentucky's fan base in basketball...no fan base cares more and it's really not close.

Not only is it reasonable, it IMHO is not even debatable.

There are very few schools that really care about college baseball and of those few non care more than LSU and it's fan base.

That's why we are where we are. It matters here. And that's why people are upset right now. Most other college baseball fan bases would be meh, it's baseball right now.

Not here.

I don't think it's a slump. I think they are just playing good SEC teams and they can't compete.

I was being a bit facetious at first, but I won't denigrate the quality of LSU baseball fans. You're a loyal group. Some are melting down, but most of you are coming around to the candid assessment that we simply didn't field a championship caliber team this year. You've always struck me as an earnest, honest poster. You probably agree.

This team needs to go out and find a few "slump busters" then all we be good. They are not abiding by one of baseballs timeless traditions. Shame on them!

only to rantards. LSU baseball until late was as popular as football, especially in the 90s.

College baseball means nothing to 95% of universities and fans.

The only judge of this and what counts is W's and L's in the conference you play. I don't count weekday cupcakes. The numbers validate this. The kids are playing hard, almost to the point of forcing it. They are just not playing good baseball at this point...(excluding Nola of course).
