Stanhope just posted on twitter that he's looking for a place to play in Shreveport at the end of April. Sounds like he will be in the area.

Stanhope is coming to the Howlin Wolf on April 11
Mike Birbiglia will be at the Civic Theatre in Nola on April 18.

Both of those are a must if you are a fan of stand up imo.

+1 He'd be perfect for M&W, he played One Eyed Jacks in nola last year I think.

Dave Attell would be killer if you could get him, might be too small a venue for him though.

They have had some decent people throughout the years. Their venue is pretty good sized.

The crowds completely sucked though. Never shutup and made it pretty shitty for the comedian and the people in the crowd trying to listen

Bill Burr I'd drive there for!!!

You can prolly get Hannibal Burress cause I seen him at TNM and that place is a shite hole.

thanks for the input ..... i need to break the seal so to speak and get some good acts in..... We have had some locals and the Found Footage Festival (Which by the way is back this Wednesday), but no national individual performers.

there are some local people .... but the scene from my vantage point doesn't seem strong. Could be very wrong (i have been out of state for the better part of a year).

Adam Carolla
Dana Gould
Patton Oswalt
Greg Fitzsimmons
Harland Williams

On second thought a lot of Southern people might not like Patton Oswalt. I think he is funny but he has a lot of anti-religion humor that people might not appreciate here.

Man, if you think Patton Oswalt is anti-religious, just go youtube some Doug Stanhope. I'm a fan, but... my God. He makes Bill Hicks look tame.

Kyle Kinane is pretty great. Maria Bamford is outstanding, though I'm not sure if she's still touring. Kathleen Madigan. Hannibal Burress, of course, though he might be too big. Brian Posehn.
