What do y'all know about this kid?
Seems like a fundamentally sound ball player-awesome footwork.
Is he a draft prospect? This kid could potentially be the MVP of the tournament.

Disagree with that. Doubt he even plays C. He will be a PF / stretch 4 player.

Hes listed as a legit 7'0 guy. And has some great moves inside and great touch, and can also step outside and knock down the 3.

For a 2nd round player, I like him.

7'0 250 lb guys are able to make rosters much easy than other developmental prospects.

Dont think he will struggle to make a roster. Struggle to get big time minutes, yes.

7'0 guys that can shoot like him are rare. But he could def be a Jason Smith type of big in the league, with more range. Off the bench, 15-18minutes a night. Hes efficient and really good at FTs.

That's who I thought of too

Jsmoove has made a nice career doing this despite his injuries

It shouldn't be hard for kamisky to do the same.

This^

But in all seriousness, I really like this kid. We could definitely snatch him up in the second round.
He's offensively solid, something Steamer and Whithey aren't.
I do like Whithey, but Kaminsky is mounds ahead of him in terms of offensive technique and range.
I'm a firm believer that you can teach defense but not offense, and Kaminsky has it in him to learn D.

This was my first time hearing of him. Looks to be a big time player. By my guess he projects as a 2nd rounder if he declares. He has good offensive gain and can spread ?the floor with a shot. Looks like a stretch four to me. Not sure if he would be a good fit for our team though

Kaminsky's stretch potential & all-around skill-level definitely attractive from a NBA standpoint, but who does he guard? Poor rebounder too

Maybe Kaminsky can be a kind of Channing Frye type in the NBA? Worse collegiate rebounder by far, but getting harder to rule him out.

Kaminsky has definitely put himself in the conversation with the season he's had. Barely played his first 2 years, now a legit NBA prospect

40 college players in my database (since 2001) were drafted that played 11 minutes or less as a freshman or sophomore. Will Kaminsky be #41?

I've seen so many Kaminsky types that can't sniff the floor in the NBA.

Jason Smith had a 37.5 inch vertical coming in to the league. That's 2 inches higher than Amare and 4 inches higher than Kevin Durant. I know vertical doesn't equal athleticism, but Jason Smith got into the league based on athleticism before his legs went bad.

Another seemingly unathletic player with a 37.5 inch vertical?? Luke Babbit

He reminds me of me when I played if I had been a lot taller.

Interesting article about Kaminsky. Was 6'3 his sophomore year in high school and played PG. By the time his JR year came around, he was 6'10. Now, hes 7'0 with great footwork, moves, and touch down low, and is very good from deep. Hes also been the best player on the floor against teams with big time NBA prospects like Arizona, Baylor, Mich St, Michigan, etc.

Am I saying hes a big time prospect, or even a 1st round prospect? No. Not at all. But an off the bench big that is a scoring threat and a mismatch for post players due to his ability to shoot from deep and can finish with either hand? Yeah I can see that. And, believe it or not, hes solid on D. Very instinctive and can block / alter a lot of shots.
