Light Rail between NOLA and BR

Apparently there was a study for a light rail between NOLA and BR released recently. It would be a 95 min trip from government street to the union passenger terminal in NOLA.
Does the OT think this would be a good idea? LINK

ETA: sorry its germans

What would people do once they got to union passenger terminal? Call a taxi?

Get on an even lighter rail that goes to the CBD.

light rail is nice but I doubt the people would use it as much as other areas of the country.
Throw some thugs on there here and there along with other trash and it will be used even less. just rambling....

I'd drive 20 min to Mid City BR to jump on a train to NO for work and back. The idea of having a 95 minute commute that I could do work or listen to music or read would be amazing, I already do an hour commute each way dealing with interstate traffic. Not having to drive or negotiate my fellow commuters while opening up an entirely new urban area for me to find employment opportunities in would be amazing.,,

From the size of the individuals in the potential rider pool that I have seen, light rail won't be enough.

How many trainloads of people would make the trip in a day? Screw it I am going to find the bigger thread

I think a high speed rail solely from the airport to downtown New Orleans makes much more sense

I think it would be pretty cool but it said there would be a couple of stops before it hit BR. My questions is why?

Take the new Loyola streetcar and connect with Canal? Walk three blocks to the St. Charles line?

BR commuters would be my guess.
