I'm just gonna go ahead and say this

Bring out the choppers and come and get me, but I don't think Paul Mainieri is what LSU needs in a baseball coach. We can blame it on the bats all we want to, but the fact of the matter is very few of our players progress as hitters from one year to the next. I don't like the "watch the first strike" approach at all. If the kid can hit, let him hit the ball! Sometimes the first pitch is the best one to hit. Mainieri is so passive/aggressive the team lacks a sense of urgency most of the time.
Not saying we should fire him and change coaches, just saying I don't think he is the best fit for LSU.

LOL who let the autistic kid out of the cage? there is a reason mainierri is a hall of fame coach, and losing a game to tulane in fricking 20 mph winds, with your team down to its last pitchers during a midweek game just doesnt sound like a good reason to can a coach who has won a national championship, but if it makes you happy then keep on posting that shite. Enjoy your cheap beer, football starts in a few months

I don't totally disagree with you actually. He openly admitted to mailing it in a bit after the 2009 Championship. He has re-engaged since then but it's still not to the level that it was before that title.
