Every time I've let mine grow a few days, it's come in patchy and looked pretty trashy. Now that I have a month before I have to go back to work, I think I'm gonna give it some time and see what it'll do.
Even if by some strange miracle I were able to grow one, there is no way I am putting a damn decal in my window declaring it.

I've had a beard going except for 2 clean shaves for med school interviews for the last year and a half or more.

I had to shave for work, but I grow a good enough beard that I don't have to let people know I have a beard

I have a beard but I put a #3 attachment on my clippers every 2-3 weeks to keep it trimmed. I can't stand when it grows out long plus it curls around when it's long.

Been growing since mid December, trimmed about a half inch mid march, not touching it again.

I thought mine was patchy until I let it grow for a few months. The long hair covers up any patches.

I trim mine to #5 on my trimmer once a month in winter, right now I've been doing #2 every 3 or 4 weeks, summertime I do #1 once a week or 2.

I have to shave every October for respirator fit tests for work. Other than that I keep a beard year round. When you're as ugly as I am you do whatever ya can to keep it covered up

I think 4.5 months this last time? Got banned early september.
Time before that was 3 months, I think they let me back in like june.
Before that it was 24 hrs.
I guess if there's a next time it's 6 months?
I'm staying away from the OT though, too busy to have to kill time trolling those fgts

I got reinstated probably a month ago now, posted a couple times that night but haven't really been back to the board until I posted that kayak thread a few days ago
I didn't even notice I was banned really, life got busy
