Obama cannot even tell the truth about his meeting with the Pope

Obama says they spoke mainly about inequality and poverty. Pope's spokesman says that was something discussed, but a lot of it was about life, religious freedom and conscientious objectors.

Post links to quotes so we can see if you are right.

Who are you going to believe? The Pope? Or Barack Hussein Obama? That's a tough one.

quote:
This morning, 27 March 2014, the Hon. Barack H. Obama, President of the United States of America, was received in audience by His Holiness Pope Francis, after which he met with His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State, and Archbishop Dominique Mamberti, Secretary for Relations with States.
During the cordial meetings, views were exchanged on some current international themes and it was hoped that, in areas of conflict, there would be respect for humanitarian and international law and a negotiated solution between the parties involved.
In the context of bilateral relations and cooperation between Church and State, there was a discussion on questions of particular relevance for the Church in that country, such as the exercise of the rights to religious freedom, life and conscientious objection, as well as the issue of immigration reform. Finally, the common commitment to the eradication of trafficking of human persons in the world was stated.

Haven't figured out how to post links yet with this new phone. However, Google AP reporter Nicole Winfield's article about it.

He lies when the truth would be better. Habitual liar. He believes himself

Man, I get so frustrated with Obama's lies. I just caught a snippet of Obama saying that the most important thing in politics is the ability to empathize with people who are different from you, who may not look like you, and may have a different political ideology.
Two things. First, Obama has been such a colossal failure that all he does now is create sound bites which are intended to keep his base fired up about him.
Secondly, this is a guy who mocked Republicans in 2009 by putting his feet up on his desk and saying, "Elections have consequences."That was in response to some GOP folks simply offering up their ideas about an issue or two.
This guy is a pathological liar, and he has now circled the wagons. He knows that certain minority groups, especially blacks, are the only ones who still pretend to believe in him. He's lost young people by now, and he isn't nearly as strong with women.
34 more months of this race-baiting, class warfare playing fraud!

I'm sure everything mentioned was discussed (check the Popes's previous comments about poverty).
But this board has become embarrassingly and unrelentingly hysterical when it comes to Obama (I'm not a big fan of the guy, but really). Do you guys have anything else to do on the internet?

Damn. Are you really such a true believer that you doubt the POPE's word because Obama said something different?
I'm not even Catholic but the sheer depth and breadth of you devotion is astounding to me.
You are truly breathtaking in your devotion.

Is it not possible that two people can have a conversation and both can come away from it with a different perception of what the focus of that discussion was? It amazes me that anyone would make an issue of this.

Oh for fricks sake, there's no real conflict between the statements. The Vatican and the President, btw, craft public statements for different reasons (political for both) under different circumstances.
