Leaving tomorrow evening has anyone been catching them? I got 3 kids with me so I am trying to get them on some fish don't matter what type. I'll be scouting for the LOBI next weekend.

The Louisiana Sportsman magazine has pictures of some lunkers in there. Just got to reading it today.

Just wondering what the water temp is now. It's gonna warm up just slightly from the past 3 or 4 days.

The crappie reports have been pretty darn good. Shallow coves and pockets. Roadrunners and jigs. Wish I was there.

BigHoss has been fishing it the past couple of days, if he is off the lake he might stop in and post how they did...

Dad was at the lakehouse(palo gaucho) a couple weekends ago and said they hadnt made it yet due to late cold fronts. Should be stacked up right now

I tell you it sucked the past 2 days. The water was in the mid to upper 50s everywhere we went.
Wind was blowing no less than 20 mph all day the past 2 days.

We picked up 15-20 fish. Nothing spectacular. And they hit a variety of baits from wacky worms to rogues to spinner baits.

Saw some fish on beds but they had lock jaw with the weather the way it was. This weekend should get much better as it is suppose to hit 80 degrees tomorrow.

Found some really good grass in most of the places we went.
We fished 1215, turtle beach, cemetery, Indian mounds, lanaan, and in the cove by big bass, where our camp is.

Fish were caught from 8 ft and 1 ft.

This is good news for me. The area I fish is good when they are moving in or on the beds.

This weekend I will be fishing San Patricio around my camp.

A guy I talked to came out 6 out of 430 boats fishing San Patricio 2 weeks ago.

He was throwing lizards I think he said...

Got a report this week that the trap bite is still on in places. Guy lost a double digit and caught several over 4.

I'll try to find you. I will be fishing with my 11yo son.

I heard they were still biting the traps and I picked up a few new shallow running crankbaits.

We fished the cove during the TOBI. That must be a hell of a spot cause there were enough boats around us to make you think they were giving away free money.

Is good when the lake doesn't dry up during the summer. This is where I will start with the kids.
