A few of them were easy to spot. Most were difficult to impossible even when knowing where to look.

Some of those were hard because of the unknow scale of the landscape and the nature of photography. I still probably wouldn't have been able to spot them, but I it might have made a difference.

Went to Virgina Beach for a SEAL demonstration. They started with this and said to be looking for the sniper throughout the show. It was on the beach and at the end of the show they let people try and find him. He was literally 5ft from the stands dead center and no one could see him. Breathing through a coffee straw if I remember correctly.

Yep. A couple of times I thought I saw their muzzles....turned out to be sticks.
