Haven't had a ton of experience with this but I'd think:

1.Have a good contract.
2.Communicate several times that they owe you money through several mediums. I like email as it creates a document trail.
Plan B. Lawyers.
Plan C. Vinny the Collector.

what does it state in your contract? how long do they have to pay? is there additional interest tacked on to late accounts?

I would continually send invoices until paid.

Call Adam Corolla and get them to do an episode of Catch a Contractor on your situation.

On SpikeTV. It's pretty entertaining actually, same type of show and methods used in To Catch a Predator with a sting and everything.

I think I'm gonna personally visit one of the companies today. I called accounts payable earlier and got the run around.
