Big Mikes BBQ Houma....bigger picture

My favorite BBQ place. Never had a bad meal. From their brisket to smoked turkey, it's all good. But my favorite is the BBQ Blues burger.
Cooked medium, topped with brisket, bacon, lettuce, grilled onions, blue cheese crumbles and BBQ sauce!

I love Big Mikes. Service is always good.....food is consistent, place is clean. Can't really ask for much more.
One if my faves is the Turkey Sandwhich. Me and my wife split it. Ill have to try that Bleus Burger next time I go.

The BBQ is awesome. I just love the combination of toppings on the burger. Go try it.

Totally agree. I've never been to a quality BBQ place that even featured a burger as part of the menu.
On a separate note, I know where to get a burger when I'm in Houma. Looks good

Never had the burger, but usually pretty consistent. The brisketbhas been off on occasion. Definitely the best in Houma. Not sure my favorite all time. I was disappointed when the one shut down on east side as that was my go to when I had to spend my days at the shop.

Is thats whats happening? I moved from Houma about 6 months ago...miss the crawfish at the shop for sure.

Yes, Big Mikes is awesome. I wish we had something like that in BR.

Not trying to pick on the place because I have no intention of driving to Houma for BBQ when I am in the BBQ Heartland (North Alabama equidistant from Memphis and North Carolina), its just weird to see a BBQ restaurant being talked about for its Burger. Like saying you went to In n Out for the fries.

Ive been to a bunch that have a burger, was up in Illinois not long ago and ate at 17th st, one of the guys with me got the burger and it looked good.
You got places like Franklin who do nothing but strict que, but you got some that put out a nice varied menu and some excellent barbque
