That's why they(Pitbulls) ALL should be shot and become extinct.

As a father myself I wouldn't know how to react to this

Sorry but you lack education if you think the whole breed needs to go. Do you not think a dog is a product of its enviroment the same way humans are? I understand as a parent you are concerned but be please be logical.

A 2009 report issued by DogsBite.org shows that 19 dog breeds contributed to 88 deaths in a recent 3-year period. Pit bulls accounted for 59% followed by rottweilers with 14%.

Of the 88 fatal dog attacks recorded by DogsBite.org, pit bull type dogs were responsible for 59% (52). This is equivalent to a pit bull killing a U.S. citizen every 21 days during this 3-year period.
The data also shows that pit bulls commit the vast majority of off-property attacks that result in death. Only 18% (16) of the attacks occurred off owner property, yet pit bulls were responsible for 81% (13).

Some humans are more aggressive and violent than others, just like dogs. You can't say that it's only because of the environment it is in.

I don't think the "whole breed needs to go". But I do think there is a serious problem with the breed that needs to be addressed.

I remember that Chows were very popular in the early 80's (we had a breeding bitch) but once people saw how vicious and dangerous they were, now very few people still own or breed them. Why is the Pit Bull different though in that despite the ever mounting evidence of how dangerous of a breed they are, people still insist on not only owning them, but also allowing them free access to small children? I just don't understand it.

can the owners get charged in these cases? serious question

if we have all the "it's the owner, not the dog" people, is there any type of punishment for the owners? like manslaughter or murder charge?

The whole breed needs to go. They're genetically engineered for fighting.

So you're saying we need to get rid of black people instead of the pitbulls? Seems racist to me.

There is mounds of data showing the Pit Bulls are much more aggressive and prone to attack outside of protection than every other breed of dog available. Ignoring it and claim that others "lack education" makes you look foolish.
