And what song gave it to you?

I had one this morning. I had never heard this song before. I can't stop playing it.

Awolnation - All I Need

That Woods song is awesome.

I'd have to go with the 1:48 mark on The War on Drug's Red Eyes. I've said this a few times already on this board, but that is my favorite musical moment in awhile.

The last song I can clearly remember captivating me entirely is Raconteurs - "Carolina Drama". This is the perfect song: great story, lyrics, music and emotion. I have loved many stuff since then (most recently John Butler Trio's "Wings Are Wide"), but nothing that would constitute "eargasm." CarDrama is fricking epic greatness

Re-listening to Carry the Zero for the first time in a while. From 2:40 on is just incredible.

Last time? Listening to John Frusciante's Letur Lefru album.

Best one? Probably the first time I listened to The Mars Volta - Deloused in the Comatorium.

Cody ChestnuTT and Gary Clark, Jr - Gunpowder on the Letter

This one was refreshing when I first heard it two weeks ago. Still is. Very dance-able with a morbid subject.

So much music left unmade by this brilliant musician.

Every time I listen to YEM from 11-17-97 when Fishman hits the cowbell thing and PM starts his solo. It's one of the most beautiful things my ears have ever heard.

It happens all the time when I have to delay getting out my car to go to work to hear the name of the song and artist.

Example from a few years ago --

UNKLE (feat The Black Angels) - Natural Selection

Doesn't happen often lately, but most recently (about a year ago) this was it...
Sturgill Simpson - Life Ain't Fair

Before that it was probably when I heard In Color on the radio.

Perhaps my alltime favorite Hendrix run. Check 2:10 to 3:10 for a minute of guitar godliness.
