You had to get a little emotional tonight watching the Lady Tigers display such heart and the incredible will to win which allowed them to dig down deep and find a way to win after losing two key players to injury.

Whatever caused this team to lose focus in the last third of the season has been wiped away and this team is rolling.

Man, I was jumping and yelling. So proud of them. Any word on Kenney and Moncrief for the Louisville game?

Moncrief will be out more than likely. She had a cast going from her half thigh down to her shin.

Kenney will probably be back. Seemed like they said it was just concussion like symptoms, never heard it being diagnosed as a concussion. Guess we'll find out more later in the week.

I wouldn't look for either Moncrief or Kenney to play. I am pretty sure Moncrief messed up her knee and LSU was keeping it quiet for the game tonight.

If Kenney had anything resembling a concussion, she is done. She has had several throughout her career and I think they pretty much said before the season that one more and she would have to retire.

My wife played for LSU back in the early 90s so we always root for Lady Tigers. I told her tonight that I have never seen the team fight for a win like they did tonight in the past 8 years. She said hell in the past 20 years.

Gosh..if it was after 1991, she played in a lot of losses.

Actually she did for one of those years. We had Gayden jacking up threes from the quad.

Yep...was there when she broke the NCAA record for (I think) threes in a career...her crossing midcourt was like Mora's Saints crossing the 40 with Morten Andersen..."you may fire when ready!"

Gayden still shares the NCAA record of 12 made threes in a game...she had it to herself until a girl from Purdue tied the record within the last couple of years.

I couldn't remember which one it was...it HAS been a few years LOL...but that girl could RAIN bombs on folks. Got to chat with a few of them back when I was there, they were all cool hated to see them go thru what they did in those lean years...

And aren't you about a foot shorter than her?? (Odd that I can remember things from 20+ years ago but can't tell you where my keys are half the time)
