I was fortunate to be a teenager when rock really became rock (late 60s/early 70s). I have listened to certain original versions of songs 100s of times so I am becoming more drawn to an occasional liisten to cover songs. What are your favorite cover songs I can add to my Cover Songs playlist?

(Sittin on) The Dock of the Bay - Sara Bareilles
Your Love - Emma Burgess
Money (that's what I want) - David Gray
More Than This - Ten Thousand Maniacs
Teardrop - Newton Faulkner
Misty Mountain Hop - Four Non Blondes
Wicked Games - Gemma Hayes
People Get Ready - Jeff Beck & Rod Stewart
Wonderwall - Ryan Adams

#1 on my playlist of "surprisingly good covers" is Neal Diamond's version of "Mr Bojangles"

I meant Johnny Cash. I got em mixed up. Soundgarden did theirs in 91 and Cash in 95/96 I believe.

Good call with Pickett and Duane covering Hey Jude. That is usually my go to with these type threads. That song planted the seed to give us the epic Layla album with Slowhand and Skydog mastering the guitar.
