Common core continues to indoctrinate the young, with bogus history

Afraid to teach children, their actual Rights, and instead interpreting it wrongly...
In Bryant, Arkansas the following “assignment” was handed out to sixth graders
I know it’s a little fuzzy so I’ll highlight the important bits.
“The Government of the United States is currently revisiting The Bill of Rights. They have determined that it is outdated and may not remain in its current form any longer.”
It then goes on to tell the kids, that basically, a poll is being taken to see what can be cut out of the Bill of Rights. It even leads them into thinking that they are participating in a task force called the National Revised Bill of Rights Task Force.
“Your task as a member of the NRBR Task Force is to prioritize, revise, prune two and add two amendments to The Bill of Rights.”
The kids assignment was to cut the Bill of Rights, one of the most important and defining documents in human history, like a drunken plastic surgeon and add LOL’s and emoticons to it so it can be less “outdated.”
Since when is liberty EVER outdated?
Here’s the best part though, after parents complained it came to light that the students hadn’t been taught ANYTHING about how ratifying the Constitution works. They weren’t taught how government actually works but bamboozled into thinking that the Bill of Rights could be easily discarded by some “task force” for being viewed as outdated.

Common Core is the worst thing to happen to schools. It is pure propaganda and indoctrination.
I don't mind a set of standards being applied in schools, and basic criteria that kids must learn, but the books should state facts as they are written, not give biased opinions or interpretations.

That is not common core. That is an idiot teachers selection of materials. The "common core" is a set of standards and there are nothing but literacy standards in science and social studies. Whomever chose that is either a liberal or an idiot.

You cant see the big picture
Once CC is adopted and accepted, then the 'indoctrination' can begin. The chosen materials can then be passed down to all the states, rather than the tiresome chore of having to write textbooks that have to pass muster in each state, as it now stands

I am very familiar with the big picture but this kind of crap hurts the cause more than helps. There are enough concerns without resorting to cherry picking asinine examples of resources.

AP Is not common core. In fact it is a curriculum produced by The College Board. The text in question is a prep book for AP exams taken in high school

If knowledge is power then what is controlling education? I'm not sure the context of this, but this allegedly comes from a common core developed history book.

It's all about indoctrination of ideas from the progressive stand point.

That's all fine and dandy, but when agenda driven, rewritten history books are on the CC list of ok textbooks, it destroys what accurate history is and becomes indoctrination to certain ideas and platforms.
