Your buddy is an idiot.

We played at Mangos for years, and some of those chicks were legit.

I remember playing around the LSU apartment complexes before we discovered Mangos every spring and summer. Well, two chicks walked up and wanted to take us on. There were four of us, and the women had socks on their feet in July. I was perplexed, and decided to sit it out. They smoked my boys, and then we found out that they wore socks to keep their feet from burning in the sand. Mind blown!!!!

Your friend or any other mediocre team with 2 years of experience playing in D-level tournaments would get humiliated

To the volleyball thing...unlikely.

To the basketball one...actually do-able.

Yeah, elite women's hoops teams would be competitive with average to slightly above average boys HS teams. A good boys team would handle them fairly easily, although it wouldn't be anywhere close to 72-0.

Well some of those people at Mangos are legit. The open league guys who play on Thursday evenings could probably compete.. but still likely lose and they are the absolute best of the best out there.. not just 2 amateurs with a few years experience.

As for the basketball thing, the high school boys team would certainly win. I mean there is no question at all in my mind. They would even make for a competitive WNBA squad and likely win the WNBA title.

Have a buddy claiming he and his teammate would beat them almost every time.

Your buddy is a ruhtard..they would get absolutely stomped out every single time.

Now, as for the basketball thing, I fully believe that. When I was in college, I had a buddy that I went to HS with that played on our HS basketball team. He was a 6th man, white guard that could dribble and pass. Somehow someway, our college's WBB team ended up using my friend and 6 or 7 other guys like him (dudes with some HS basketball experience who could play a little) to form something of a practice squad for our women's team to scrimmage against. At the time, our womens' team was ranked in the top 10ish nationally. Not elite, national title caliber, but definitely one of the best teams in the country.

My friend said it wasn't even fair...him and this rag tag group of former HS bench players would wear that women's team slap out. I was floored, at the time I didn't really get it. But he said the difference in men and women on the court is just too much to overcome.

So...depending on just how good that HS team of your friend's was, I can definitely see them beating uconn.
