THE Manchester Derby thread - temporary ballooning United bandwagon edition

With their multiple games in hand, Manchester City still is easily within range of the other title contenders.
For Manchester United, and their temporary bandwagoners of every of other top team, it's about restoring pride, defending old trafford, and hopefully a late push for Europe.
Here's a review of what happened the first time these two teams met:

Can't believe I have to cheer for ManU

This should be named City circle jerk thread. United fans are very well aware of what happened. Thanks, but no need for the Pellegrini glamour shot and pictorial history

I'm all about City in this one. They'll keep Man U off our asses while we attempt to plow Newcastle in a riveting 1-0 battle, where the one goal comes off a Leighton Baines PK.

Go Fighting Juan Matas!!!
Chelsea will take help any way they can get it for the title...even if that means rooting for Man U

False, the first meeting of these teams was on November 12, 1881, when West Gorton (St. Marks) – who would later become Manchester City F.C. – hosted Newton Heath – who would later become Manchester United F.C.. The game finished 3–0 in favor of the Heathens (United), and was described by the Ashton Reporter as "a pleasant game".

I think this is the first time I have ever wanted Manchester United to win a match.
Hoping for a good one.
