For me, that and the fact that the SEC overall is 11-1 in the post-season does mean something.

The SEC is stll not an elite basketball conference but it doesn't suck as bad as I thought it did.

The only way one can judge a conference really is how they do against decent teams outside the conference.

Pre-Conference the SEC failed just as badly at that as we had in the previous 6-7 years. But post-season.....much better.

However, I think what we may be seeing is we may have upgraded in talent a bit, but it was young and took time to develop. We didn't develop over the year quite as well as others, but maybe next year.

And some may scoff at counting the NIT in that record, but in recent years the SEC hasn't done all that well first round NIT.

No. It means there are three good teams out of 14. The SEC still really blows.

But it's getting better
