We are assuming O'Bryant leaves with everyone else staying (minus outgoing seniors) and the recruiting class coming in?

Kentucky should be losing more blue chippers
Florida is going to lose 3 of top 4 scorers in Prather, Wilbekin, and Young.

And rest of SEC is wide open

Not quite there yet

Nothing wrong with finishing 3rd, though. I say top 4 is what we should expect.

Depends on who stays for us. Martin is back. If we can get Mickey, we will be solid. If JOB comes back, we will be really solid.

Regardless, another year for Martin, Mickey, and TQ. A legit 7'0 C coming in, Elbert Robinson. And Josh Gray.

All depends on what players do at UF, UK, and Tenn.

We should be top 4. And if those teams are rebuilding, we could be top 2.

Do I expect us to win it? No. But I do expect us to be at least top 3 in the SEC and competing for the title though. And in the NCAA tourney. All depends on how our players develop in the offseason.

A lot of people had big expectations for this season. And I get that. I was excited for this year as well because we finally had some major talent coming in. But, they are still freshman. Next year is the year for big expectations.

Just got to hope for no injuries and for our incoming guards to be able to live up to their billing (and I think they will).

The guard position worries me, offensively. But, if we get Martin and Mickey back, we are still solid enough in the front court to handle business against the bottom half of the league.

Consistency, Martin continuing to develop, and TQ and Mickey developing on O are the keys to watch, IMO.

With our coach? Lol. Slim chances. He can recruit but he's not a good gameday coach period.

For us to win the SEC next year we need Martin to really step it up, Gray to be what he's hyped up to be and Hornsby also be the kind of player he was at UNC-A

Assuming Mickey comes back, I think you'll see the preseason SEC predictions look like this:

1. UK
2. Fla
3. Ark
4. UGA
5. LSU........

LSU again should have the personnel to compete in what may likely be a weaker SEC (At least one with no overwhelmingly dominant team). Certainly there is no excuse for a .500 SEC record (though the same could have been said)

yeah if we are in top 4-5 (depending on how strong the conference is) next season and we make the tourny I would say it is a success.

I think if Mickey and Martin come back and the JUCO kid is as good a scorer as he's been touted to be, we SHOULD compete for the conference title...not necessarrily win, but compete. And I don't think that unreasonable or unrealistic to expect.

But I expected to finish fourth in the SEC this year and having watched everything play out and looking back over....all things considered, I still think we should have.

This year we underachieved, I think most everyone will agree...maybe not to what degree...but that we did.

Next year's a new year, new mix of players, new opportunity for a staff a bit new at this level to learn from mistakes and maybe find a new way to get their message across.

And maybe we play to our level...or maybe overachieve.

I hope for that.
