Apparently kids dance competitions are serious business.

Worst part about little girls..

Dance competition in BR today, Challmette next week. Then somewhere else in May, then the dreaded three day long recital at the convention center in June.

And I have to go.

The little girls probably don't give a shite. The idiot adults get filled with butthurt.

My buddy has two girls in dance and his wife teaches.

He goes to those competitions all the time, poor thing.

My daughter is only one so I have a few years before I'm subjected to that awfulness.

I used to be the sound guy for a boat load of these competitions. They were always fricking miserable.

I am at a cheerleading competition right now in Hammond. This thing is mind numbing. What's even worse is one of the mother's has an air horn that she keeps blowing.

Yeah I hate the cheer, the dance is tolerable outside of the air horns.

My two older teenaged girls are in company dance. This is their last year of that activity. Way to expensive and most dance studio owners gouge the crap out of you with absurd mark ups on costume fees, etc.. The competitions are filled all day with auditoriums full of screaming and cheering moms living vicariously through their kids and bitchy spoiled kids parading around like their shite doesn't stink.

Both of my girls tried out for their school's cheerleading squads last week, one in HS and one in MS, and both made the cut. Very happy that we are trading a 10k a year activity for a $500 a year one.

I hope I am not the only one wondering this, but what does an ink pen in an apple signify? Or is it just sort of like a paper weight to hold down the vicious note?

This one of the dance companies that make the little girls look like mini whores with all the makeup on?

Saw someone's pics on fb of her daughter's dance posed dance pics. Girl looks like 12 and mom is posting pics of the girl with tons of makeup on holding her leg all the way up like "look at my daughter's crotch everyone on fb"....pics are not private

Another pic the girl is giving a seductive look to the camera.

The dance company my daughter dances for doesn't and most of the others at the competitions we compete at don't. Now last night there was a masquerade ball and the way a lot of the parents were dressed and the way they let their teenage daughters dress was ridiculous.

It is really. Esp posting it on fb for anyone to have access to.

Her comments are all like "so proud of my daughter!"

If I have a daughter I hope she gets into sports (soccer)or is a super smart nerd. She ain't doing dance.

They have a bar there. I drank a lot.

But I can't look too bad, I'm the "Step father" and the birth father always seems to be into what I am doing.
