They were lined up for spinner baits this morning and I got my limit in half hour or so out of a .
I paddled about a couple hundred yards from the Yellow Bar to some marsh ponds. The ponds are already getting grassy, so get out there.

We only saw three gators, and they didn't look too interested in us or the redfish.
It was a nice paddle with the neighbor, but I was the only one fishing. We"re pretty close in age and size, you could do it!!

I really like the exercise aspect of it, kind of close to swimming carnivores though. We'll see, summer is our big south fishing time so maybe next hunting season.

Well the only time I saw you during the grizzly search, it was below freezing, and I couldn't tell what shape anyone was in. And my white boat is so little it makes me look taller.

The Yellow Bar-Really the Yellow Store and High Tide Bar and Grill just before (west of) Chef Pass on 90. Mudboat would work fine and there is a little launch right next door.
The area I fished was out the harbor and down the canal to the right. If you go left you hit Chef Pass and can fish the marshes between Borgne and Pontchartrain in a small boat.

It really is. I've caught reds out of a motorboat, canoe, pirogue, wading and bank-fishing. And I've paddled around in yaks, but today was the first time I fished out of one. My neighbor has two, so we paddled out from behind the condos.
I need one now!
