Go to shoe station for them. Bring your 20% coupon while you're at it.

just get some florsheim loafers from penny's. haan is overpriced and not great quality. unless you're looking for some kind of square toed shoe, then stick with haans

BS. I have a few pairs of Cole Haan's that still look great and are probably older than you are.

You probably got them before they started making some in China.

I got my Cole Haan penny loafers at this random store next to Steinmart on the corner of Old Hammond/Airline.

Eta: Shoe Station maybe?

Although I love my Cole Haan's, I have to agree. I recently bought a pair of Minnetonkas for less than half of what my Cole Haan's cost and they don't look as nice but are made much better. My Haan's seemed to start falling apart within the first two or three months I had them. Recently ordered some Ecco Cuno's but they haven't arrived yet so I'll have to wait and see how they fit the bill.

DSW dress shoes are garbage. The shoe companies make different shoes for the discount warehouses than they do for the nicer department stores. Similar to how Brooks brothers has their "346" brand for the outlet stores but the "1818" brand for the real stores.

You can get some basic models at Shoe Station. Otherwise, just order off of Amazon.

There is no question. Cole Haan chose to take the slightly-more-upscale Kenneth Cole approach rather than trying to compete with a classic men's shoemaker like Allen Edmonds.

I have a pair of CH drivers that are alright, but I'll never buy dress shoes from them again, most likely. I'm not a big fan of Johnston Murphy either, but I think they're probably better in quality these days.
