since they both have jurisdiction in the city limits there is very little crime. the real winners are the taxpayers

Several areas on the north side of Greenwell Springs east of Airline are outside the city limits of BR and as was stated, they have parishwide jurisdiction.

It is probably that little area outside the city limits in North Baton Rouge.
They do have the right to go inside the city especially if they get a complaint from a council person, due to economics they try to let the BRPD handle inside the city limits.
