Israel Can't Count on "Weak" USA to Deal with Iran

Perhaps the most sobering aspect of President Obama's indecisiveness and flip-flopping on matters of foreign policy is that, now, Israeli officials are speaking publicly about their inability to count on American resolve to keep Iran from producing nuclear weapon capability. You can put the odds at 100% that Israel won't sit by and allow this to happen without taking military action.
So, the question becomes, what happens if/when Israel attacks Iran? What does Putin do? How does Obama react? Does the UN, with 22 Muslim members and many other countries who harbor animosity towards Israel take some action if this happens?
Imo, this is probably the biggest, and potentially most dangerous variable regarding the already unstable situation in Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

so they are pissed off we are talking to Iran? Since when is diplomacy a weakness?
i get Obama's weak perception, but all they are slamming the US for is finally talking to Iran.
If talks fail, and nuclear work continues, we bomb. no failure in trying to resolve it diplomatically.

Israel will never be able to rely on any other nations in regards to aid when the shite finally does hit the fan.

If you had as many enemies as they do who hate you just because you exist, you wouldn't wait on anyone either.

Good.

Non-military action is 100%, but I really doubt they're doing something like bombing Iran's facilities without backup.

Israel has the military to handle Iran - they have nukes, etc. If they want to go to war with the Persians, then have at it. Israel has sponged off the U.S. for too long.
By the way, does anyone remember who was supplying Iran with US military hardware during the Iraq-Iran war? Two faced bastards.

Arms sales to Iran that totaled an estimated $500 million from 1981 to 1983 according to the Jafe Institute for Strategic Studies at Tel Aviv University. Most of it was paid for by Iranian oil delivered to Israel.[2]:107 "According to Ahmad Haidari, "an Iranian arms dealer working for the Khomeini regime, roughly 80% of the weaponry bought by Tehran" immediately after the onset of the war originated in Israel.[2]:106
Arms shipments from the U.S. to Iran in the Iran-Contra Affair facilitated by Israel.
Israel's June 7, 1981 attack on Iraq's Osirak nuclear reactor which set back Iraq's nuclear program. In fact, Iran bombed them first, back in 1980, but they only damaged secondary buildings.[3]
Israel is also reported to have supplied instructors and non-armaments help to Iran for the war effort.

Lots of saber rattling, increase in terrorist attacks against Israel. Similar to what happened after they did it to Iraqi.

Pass a UN resolution similar to this one

Just because they exist? Come on man, you know better than that.

They might bomb something but I don't see Israel fighting any kind of ground war because it would be unpopular in Israel. They just need to figure out a way to get along with Iran and the whole neighborhood.

I have gotten more and more sure that Carrolton has indeed left this mortal coil. I haven't seen a post by him in a very long time, he must have gone to see the Head Jew.

Sooner or later, Israel will launch a strategic attack to take out Iran's nuclear capability.

Apparently they couldn't count on the Reagan administration either.
Israel bombs Baghdad nuclear reactor
You're like 33 years behind.

It was Saddam Hussein vs Ayatollah Khomeini. The Unites States was arming Iraq and illegaly arming Iran through Israel. Israel was just doing us a favor.

When history is in the process of repeating itself, I wouldn't say I'm 33 years behind.
Reagan had good relations with Israel. That's a huge difference from how it is now.
