We know Aroldis had no brain damage or anything but has to have a plate inserted in his head...who knows how long he'll miss and if he will ever be the same

So it looks like Broxton is the backup closer...grab him?

If Broxton were on schedule this spring, I would say go with him. However, he's behind and Hoover has great stuff.

It's probably still up in the air right now, and wouldnt be surprised to see a committee approach.

As a Reds fan, I hope its Hoover.

Don't forget Sean Marshall. He got 9 saves in 2012 for Cincy. A lot of candidates with no clear cut favorite.

I doubt its Hoover. He's been having real problems with his control this spring. He's been all over the place.

I think Marshall is hurt. I trust Redd on this one.

Marshall will be starting the season on the DL. He's not even throwing off a mound right now.

Is Chad Qualls worth a pickup while Chapman is out. I think he's got the Houston job for now.

Just pick up Broxton or Hoover. I'm going to pass on both G.

Qualls should be fine for the first month but I think Fields will get some chances as well. Then once Crain comes back at the end of the month, it'll probably be his gig.

I am really passing on both. I typically don't put a premium on saves.

Well I can't start the season with only 3 RP. And my stud is out 6 /8 weeks. That would leave me w only 2.
