Turkey Reports...

With the season opening this weekend what's everyone hearing?
Heard three this am, one I can get to and saw lots of signs of them strutting. Has the makings of a great year, don't think they are gobbling great yet.
What's everyone else doin?

Waiting for noon tomorrow so I can leave the office and head to the woods to scout for turkeys.

Still hate turkeys. Even more today.
Had one gobbling his head off 50yds from me in extremely thick stuff with a hen in between us. Wouldn't even think about coming over. Stayed there for the better part of an hour cutting me off with a gobble when I'd call. Was trying to call very little and bring the hen to me but I think it was just too thick between us.

My buddy went this morning and has reported an official kill for today. Said he worked his nuts off for the bird.

Been after them for 5 days and haven't heard a gobble, much less seen a tom. Very discouraging but I'm not done chasing them yet.
