I'm looking for tuxedos for my wedding, and I like the midnight blue look over the classic black. For those who have worn one before, how did the two compare in pictures? Did it clash with what others were wearing? Overall, what do you prefer?

Thanks!

I really wanted midnight blue for my wedding, but wifey vetoed it. The black tux shows up well in pictures.

If it were, I'd already know the answer! I come to the experts with my humble questions.

The thing I worry about is that some of our pictures will undoubtedly be outside during the day and black doesn't seem to look as sharp in those situations.

I would doubt you can tell the difference. I can't from wearing suit/sports jackets of each color.

Eta: images arent working. Google Daniel Craig or Tom Cruise's midnight blue tuxes. They can look classy, so long as the material is good and the blue is a very dark blue.

With that said, I think I'm leaning towards black as well.

Tuxedos should always be black. If it's not black it's just a gaudy suit.

That's just dumb. A midnight blue jacket with a black lapel, black pants and black shoes is pure class...if it's good enough for James Bond, it's good enough for you.

That said...for your wedding, go straight black.
