Predictions: What is Russia's (and Putin's) Endgame?

The elephant in the room with most of the mainstream media appears to be the answer to this question. Maybe to not stir fear or further hurt Obama's reputation? So I'm wondering from the wonderful minds of the Poliboard what you think Russia's goal is. I see it as one of a few increasingly drastic steps:
A) Stop at the annexation of Crimea
B) Move into Eastern Ukraine
C) Take Kiev
D) Take the Baltic States
E) Warsaw and beyond
At some point Europe and ourselves would be in a war (but then again maybe not with the current administration so who knows) but what is your general opinion? Obviously the later options are very extreme. My knowledge of Putin and Russian politics is okay but nothing special, so I don't really have a great answer to my own question.

Only thing I know for certain with this administration when push comes to shove for whatever happens they will roll over and take it. It's a sad day for this country.
