Plant operator job at Exxon in BR

I have an interview for Exxon in Baton Rouge as an operator. I do not know why my previous thread got whacked, it is an honest question. Is it the best place to work as far as operators? Anybody with experience?

You need a more descriptive title if you don't want this to get whacked or anchored

Unless you are an operator somewhere else, it would be retarted not to go there. They are ok, but the progression is what sucks if you have to take a pay cut!

I'm not an operator and don't work at Exxon but I think Exxon, shell, and basf would be my top choices based on my experience with those places.

I know people that work at Exxon and love it. Great safety culture.
I also have friends at other plants to always seem to be wishing they were at Exxon.

Youve ome to the right place. There are more plant operators on the OT than there are Catholics in the Vatican.

Exxon, and Shell are cream of the crop, in my opinion.

I've been looking to get hired on by one of the plants as an operator trainee, I'm only 20 so I still have time to take Ptech but is it possible to get hired on with no Ptech and no operator experience?

What's the rest of your background and who do you know?

Very unlikely at the big places like exxon or shell.

I applied for the operator position as well. When did they let you know about the interview? And when did you take the pre-employment test? Took mine back in October

Let me know today. Took test last April

Currently in management for a crew boat company, but I don't like sitting on my arse all day and the pay isn't that great. And I don't really know any operators.

Nice. Did they let you know through email?
