Agree on everyone except Self. Self is definitely close though.

How is he not relevant anymore? He won a title more recently than Izzo. Made the Final 4 more recently than Izzo, made the Elite 8 more recently than Izzo, beat him in the last 3 match-ups, and had his team in the top 10 in the polls for damn near 5 straight years until a few months ago.

Izzo is a great coach but the slurping on this board and the internet in general is too much. Izzo passed K a long time ago

Yeah I can't stand K, but he is easily #1.

Pitino is #2 for me because of his success at 3 different schools.

people like overachieving in tournaments and they like final fours. it is more impressive to people when izzo makes the final four as a 4 seed than if someone else makes it as a 1 or 2 seed.

izzo gets credit for strong post seasons without taking any flak for regular seasons that are below expectations.

he's basically the opposite of bill self who wayyyyy overachieves in the regular season and then cannot possibly live up to that in the tournament, causing people to think he isn't as strong in the post season (which is hilariously false).

The idea that a 32-4 record with an Elite 8 and Conference title is worse than a 26-9 season in the Final 4 is unfathomable to me.
