Sonic Burgers = Funky Taste

Why do Sonic's burgers always have a funky taste? I eat them plain and the taste of the "beef" comes out strong. Is it spoiled or freezer burned. It happens no matter which Sonic location I go to with few exceptions. Their hot dogs are jacked up too.
Yet I see people eating this shite all the time.
Hell even McDonald's burgers taste better and God knows what meat by products they use.

El cheapo fast food burgers are guaranteed to have a funky taste regardless of source, all of the Mickey burgers are guilty of being of that funky flavor.

I like to take sonic burgers home fill them with cream cheese, stuff them in a jalapeño, mold jimmy deans breakfast sausage around the pepper, wrap that with bacon, beer batter, then deep fry.

I don't know about the DQ as it has been decades since I visited one and it did have the flavor profile. Wendy and What A hands down uses better quality meat

If you go to DQ and don't get the steak finger basket with white gravy you're doing it wrong.

There's no such thing as " grade D but edible" unless it's used in pet food.
But , IMHO, you can be sure that no place will use anything but the absolute cheapest crap they can find and that includes all of the chains. Hell most them don't understand what well done means.
