Kyle Fuller Scouting Report

Initially I was against Fuller at 27, but he's starting to grow on me. Most of the reports I read about him was that he is expected to be a zone CB in the league, because that's mostly what he played at VT. I found this report done by an Eagle's blogger, and it's probably one of the best one I've read on him.
The zone thing scared me, but I feel like he can man up pretty well. I wish we could see him use his hands more at the LOS. Despite not using his hands, even when playing man, he shows he isn't afraid of contact. In fact, the biggest thing that surprised me about him was his run defense.

There's some videos in there, including his game from Bama. The videos aren't full games, but it is a little more than a highlight reel, with showing some of his bad plays. Good luck not falling asleep during the Georgia Tech tape.

We played a fair bit of zone last year. It just wasn't Spags "Everyone has multiple checks and options each play so everyone is confused and winds up covering the same part of the field or running into each other" zone.

he was my first Mock selection
Read enough scouting reports and you'll see he was scheme diverse. He fits the big bodied physical CB profile that everyone wants. He hasn't shown overwhelming physicality in his play but has the tools to do so.
There could be a selection pool of Fuller, Roby, & Verrett available at #27. I take Fuller first every time. Verrett has superior coverage skills and tape. At 5-9 189 I don't see him as an outside CB. Maybe all pro in the vein of Casey Hayward or honeybadger- not the need here.

Agreed. If Verrett was another 3 inches taller, he'd probably be the 1st CB taken. I wouldn't be upset with taking him at 27, but at this point I am really warming up to Fuller.
