He will probably fall to our spot in the draft. Je didn't finish strong at Bama, but he is talented and has potential. Not to mention we could the depth at tackle, even after the Strief signing.

You should aim for a starter with your first round pick, not depth...Find depth in the later rounds.

Doesn't he have a pretty serious lingering chronic injury that a few teams spotted?

His knees are fricked. May not last long at all in the NFL

Being that they are leaning to a "win now" stance I think they lean away from fatass.

no thanks. Injury concerns and no need. Also didn't look very impressive in the combine drills. Not a 1st round pick for us.

This is the second time in 2 days someone posted about drafting depth with our first round pick...

1st round picks are never depth picks unless your the Jets looking for another QB. The only time you might draft what you dont need first is if the value backs it up.

You should rarely draft a guy that has his value plummeting due to medical redflags. There is a reason he is falling and no you are not getting a steal for a LT(one of the most scouted positions in all of football) from the most publicized and followed football program in the country.

You also have both T positons solidified with starters...why upset your LT by drafting a guy who will make substantially more than him just to ride the bench behind him.

lastly if he didnt work hard before he got paid...why would he after he is getting paid.

Food for thought.

He would hold his arse off against LSU every game and it was never called. I don't think he is first round material. Over rated.

We had 2 starting safeties when we drafted Vaccarro last year.

Your 3rd S plays even without injuries. Your 3rd T doesn't. Also it was obvious at least one of the two safeties was on the way out. The tackles aren't.

Our 2 starting safeties were coming off a year where they were ranked as the worst two safties in the league. Drafting Kouandjio isn't close to drafting Vaccaro last year. I'd be really pissed if he were the pick at 27.

We liked him because he could cover the slot as well as play safety.

We drafted him to be a playmaker on the field as a rookie
