I took my pistol out and was going to give it a lil workout. My first 2 shots went clean as a whistle(hollow points). The third never fired, couldn't uncock, dropped the mag and tried to manually work the slide to eject the round in the chamber. I'm stumped. Any advice is welcomed.

This would help quite a bit.

One in the chamber that I cant clear. Never had this problem. I owned Glocks that all I needed to do was drop the mag and manually work the slide to eject the shell. Nothing seems to work on this one tho.

So the hammer didn't drop with the third rd in the chamber?

The pistol looks normal. It gave me no indication anything was wrong. The only difference in my pistol and the one you see in ads is custom grips but I've put several hundred rounds through it with no problems.

I can move the slide just enough to see the tailend of the shell in the chamber. Maybe an 1/8 of an inch.

Great, stick a flathead screwdriver in the opening between the breech face and barrel hood and gently twist. u can tape the blade if you like.

Don't pry the screw drive, just twist the handle.

My wife wants me to take to a gunsmith. I just don't want to screw up the pistol.

I've done it to many 1911s, but do as you wish.

No prob, like I said I've had to do it many times. Were you shooting factory ammo? Check the mouth of the jammed case for deformation.

I threw it way back in the woods but it didn't look scarred or deformed in any way. Again thanks.

What ammo were you shooting?
Have you shot this ammo before?
Have you shot this ammo/mag combo before?
