No that's my "save em" net!I put them in there until I get enough to clean. That pic was taken Saturday about mid afternoon. We caught a bunch more that never saw the net.
Ate them about a half hour after we caught them.
Tried them Sunday after the front moved in and didn't get a bite.
Best thing about it is that though I had the boat hooked up to go Saturday, I walked out my backdoor and started catching off my back yard. Never put the boat in the water.

Well one thing for sure, it's obvious that net's been in the water a long time.

I do believe you though cause it's tied on the top and doesn't have a bait bag in it.

Rules and regs on the Lake (Poverty Point Reservoir) say no other means of catching fish besides cane pole and /or rod and reel. Can't use yo-yos, trot lines floating stuff, like jugs floatees etc. Caught these mostly on Black/chartreuse hair jigs made in Delhi, fished on a cork about 18". Mrs Couyon used said jig with a shiner on it Saturday and beat me.

Another bit of info: A recent study on the lake shows LDW&F wants to raise the limit on Sac-au-lait to 50 from 25. Wish they wouldn't. but would not mind if they put about a 10" size limit on them.
ETA: for the doubters: see the floats tied to the top of the net? Ain't no hoop net!

??
limit is now 25 they want to raise to 50.

Bad thing about it is there are folks that camp out there all season. Limits don't mean much to a lot of them.

I figured out what you are saying now. The State limit is 50, but the LAKE limit is 25. The LDW&F wants to RAISE it to the State limit.

My bad. I thought it was 50 everywhere.
