Bleacher Report has LSU as one of the teams being overlooked and the potential to make some noise in the NIT. Nobody knows better then me how Bi-Polar this team has been but I can't find it in me to not have faith, then I read things like this. Im like a battered Wife, who's husband beats her then says im sorry ill never do it again, her right eye heals she hopeful that he's changed and he proceeds to punch her in the left eye. SMH

It's featured columnist, not a fan made article.

I am just glad this team gets to play more basketball and that it has another chance to show that it can put things together and win a road game. Strange year, strange team.

More games will help. Maybe a run in this tourney will be a difference maker next year

looks like san fran has a little size on their perimeter so they likely won't care about taking it to the paint, we'll see how it goes

great analogy for following this team.

if we get past san fran which we should, i like our squad against smu. just comes down to executing the p's and q's that have evaded them all year for whichever reason.

Getting to play in NYC is a real treat for any college kid. A trip to San Fran is a real nice deal for them as well.

The one thing that all of these places have in common...they aren't the PMAC. We all know how they have played outside of BR... Maybe that can change though!

Michael,

Do you know what the mentality of the team is after being selected? I would assume excited and that the Seniors would be ready to come out and play hard, but this team has had variable motivation and energy all year so who knows. I could see a team like SMU coming out and playing flat due to being disappointed by their NIT selection and feeling snubbed by the NCAAs, but after we were cleary out of contention of an NCAA bid, I would think this team might come out with tons of energy and be grateful to have the opportunity to continue their season.

Different Vibes from different players sorry to say. Everyone's agenda is not the same, which explains why sometimes we click and sometimes we don't. Maybe come game time everyone will have a winners attitude and want to go out and make a run towards the Garden.

I hate to hear that. A trip to San Francisco, then a possible trip to NYC would make me want to bust my arse and win some games.

If we were a team that was used to going to the NCAA's, that would be one thing, but quite frankly, this group hasn't accomplished dick when it comes to post-season play, so I would hope they would cherish this opportunity and take advantage of it. I think the seniors will...hopefully the others will follow.
